Vitimins and Minerals that help with Heel and Foot Pain

Date Friday, October 16th, 2009 Posts Posted by mgecom

There are many treatments for plantar fasciitis and heel spurs. These treatments don’t only include rest, heel cups and stretching, there are a variety of “out of the box” treatments available too. Vitamins are another way to approach pain and inflammation associated with plantar fasciitis and can also  help prevent its return.

Some vitamins and minerals are known in the medical communities because of their surprising results with less invasive qualities.  Here are a few vitamins that you can add to help treat your plantar fasciitis:

  • Calcium
    • Calcium and magnesium help prevent the abnormal deposits of calcium causing heel spurs.
  • Magnesium
    • Calcium can’t be absorbed by the body properly with out magnesium which can lead to a deficiency in calcium. This has been linked to the formation of heel and bone spurs.
  • Vitamin C with Broflavanoids
    • Taking Vitamin C in conjunction with bioflavonoids is known to accelerate the heeling process and have anti-inflammatory abilities.
  • Methylsulfonylmethane (MSM)

    • Methylsulfonylmethane comes in topical cream form or lotion as well as a pill and reduces inflammation and pain.

Heel Seat Review

Hi-

I just wanted to say I have had excruciating plantar faciitis for 1 1/2 yrs.
I ordered your heel seats about a month ago, took my orthotics out of my running shoes, put in the heel seats and used them for about a week. My pain totally disappeared-its amazing-I took the heel seats out of my shoes, and after 7 yrs of orthotics, I have only the original insoles in my sneakers. I have not had to use the heel seats since using them somehow cured the pain that many other possible solutions could not do.

My problem began April 2008-so I have had pain for 1 1/2 yrs-I went to a foot dr., who prescribed PT, I went to a massage therapist many times, I used cryoderm-which is like icy hot, I stopped wearing any high heels(which I really didn\’t wear anyway), only sneakers and birkenstocks, (I think I got the plantar fasciitis from wearing flip flops-I used to wear them everyday, all the time).

I did lots of stretching exercises, iced several times a day-nothing worked-the pain was excruciating. I had looked at your website before, but hadn’t tried the heel seats, just hoping the pain would go away one day-well I had had it, so I decided to try your product, and I just can’t believe it worked in such a short time-I was getting ready to call my Dr. again and get a cortisone shot.

Thank you! (HTP)

Just wanted to give your product and your company a very big THANK YOU! I ordered your heel seats back in July. I have been suffering (and I do mean suffer) for over 8 months with plantar fasciitis.

I have spent a fortune on doctors and therapy.  Even to the point I thought I would have to go on disability from my job as I could not walk. I was very frightened and worried.

A friend mentioned your company, and I thought why not – I certainly have tried everything else.

Within 2 weeks of using your product, the pain lessened.  After a month it is virtually gone!  I can’t believe it…amazing product!

I thank you sincerely.  You can’t possibly imagine what a difference this has made.

Got Calcaneal Spurs? Heel That Pain can help

Date Thursday, September 3rd, 2009 Posts Posted by mgecom

Below is some information on what Calcaneal Spurs also known as Heel Spurs is. People suffering from this foot disease now have hope with the Heel That Pain heel seats.

A calcaneal spur (or heel spur) is a radiological (X-ray) finding, and when it is located on the inferior aspect of the calcaneus, is often associated with plantar fasciitis. A posterior calcaneal spur may also develop on the back of the heel at the insertion of the Achilles tendon.

An inferior calcaneal spur consists of a spike of calcification, which lies superior to the plantar fascia at the insertion of the intrinsic foot musculature onto the calcaneus. Until recently, an inferior calcaneal bone spur was erroneuously thought to develop at the insertion of the plantar fascia. While heel spurs are commonly associated with plantar fascitis, they are not caused by plantar fascitis and many people who suffer from plantar fascitis do not have heel spurs. Often times, inferior heels spurs do not have to be removed as part of the treatment for plantar fascitis. However, posterior heel spurs are often large and palpable through the skin and may need to be removed as part of the treatment of insertional Achilles tendonitis.

Heel That Pain Heel Pain Exercise

Date Friday, August 14th, 2009 Posts Posted by mgecom

People suffering from heel pains turn to many methods in an effort to relieve pains. Other than the Heel That Pain heel seats, there are many exercises that can help relieve heel pain and discomfort. Heel pain exercises are typically helpful for some of the most common causes of heel pain such as plantar fasciitis and heel spurs. The experienced heel pain is often caused by tissue damage in the plantar fascia ligament. The Plantar Fascia ligament is the bowstring-like ligament that stretched across the bottom of the foot from the heel bone (calcaneous) towards the toes. Tears and inflammation then develop but, exercises can be used to relieve some of the discomfort of pain and to strengthen the fascia to help prevent additional damage.

One very simple exercise is taking a tennis ball, rolling pin, or other small rolling device and placing it under the foot.

Next, roll the foot over the ball or rolling pin, allowing the device to slide over the bottom on the foot.

Despite its simplicity, this exercise is useful for stretching the plantar fascia. By doing this, you are making it more flexible and can help relief not only tension for moderate amounts of pain. Regularly doing this exercise helps to keep the ligament flexible and strong.

Heel pain does not have to continue. HTP Heel Seats maintain an impressive 99.7% success rate and are highly recommended by doctors and podiatrists for treating heel pain as well as other symptoms and conditions. Best of all this product works without interfering in your lifestyle.

Heal your Heel Spurs with Heel That Pain

Heel That Pain products treat heel spurs. Not sure what heel spurs are? Take a look:

  • A heel spur is a growth of bone that extends from the heel bone (calcaneous). The spur itself has no feeling. However, these bony outgrowths usually extend from the heel bone into the soft tissue surrounding the bottom of the foot, causing inflammation of the plantar fascia (fasciitis) and pain throughout the heel of the foot.

The heel spur is composed of calcium deposits. This bony deposit develops when the plantar fascia stretches abnormally due to stress factors and occurs where the ligament attaches and stretches away from the heel bone. These pointed outgrowths, which can be visible through an X-ray, are often hooked and extend forward toward your toes as much as half an inch

Most cases of heel spurs can be treated by the simple, conservative means of our Heel Cups, Heel Seats, Heel Pads, Arch Supports, and Insoles. They use acupressure as an effective way to treat the pain associated with heel spurs. Our unique treatments not only effectively treat the pain, they also reverse the heel spur growth. They cradle the heel and arch of the foot, providing the support and reinforcement of the heel which is necessary to relieve stress and pain in the tissue around the heel spur.

Now that you know what heel spurs are, spread your knowledge! Let others know about their heel spurs and how to alleviate themselves from the pain caused by them with Heel That Pains Heel Seats.

Foot and Heel Injuries

Some brief information/content on Foot and Heel Injuries.

Foot & Heel Injuries:
Injuries to the tendons
in the lower body, ligaments, and muscles  are very common. Your legs and feet endure constant stress or pressure due to the amount of time you spend  walking and standing, as well as from the pressure they endure during physical activity and sports. It is because of the excessive amount of work your feet undergo daily, they are often prone to developing a variety of painful conditions that can plague your feet.

Common Heel and Foot Injuries
The most common types of feet pain can be centered on and/or develop around the heel of the foot. The heels of the feet often hit the ground at high velocity or with great pressure. This happens during running or any other physical activity which would deliver excessive amounts of weight, pounding, or force against the heel. The heels of the feet are prone to receiving the brunt of physical stress. Therefore, it is important to be able to address these painful conditions when they occur in order to treat the painful conditions and keep them from coming back.

Plantar Fascia Ruptures & Plantar Fascia Tears Information

Date Thursday, June 11th, 2009 Posts Posted by mgecom

Plantar Fascia Ruptures & Plantar Fascia Tears

Plantar fascia ruptures and plantar fascia tears are distinct traits of plantar fasciitis. These ruptures and tears occur in the plantar fascia ligament, which runs the length of the bottom of the foot. Over use and strain on the ligament can be the cause of ruptures in the ligament, typically, however the causes can and do vary.

Ruptures in the plantar fascia ligament occur when a lot of stress is placed on the foot. There are many factors such as having arch problems, wearing un-supportive shoes, obesity, sudden weight gain, and running or exercising too much which can contribute stress and tension on the foot, leading to tears and ruptures in the plantar fascia.

Symptoms associated with ruptures in the plantar fascia consist of swelling of the bottom of the foot and severe heel pain. Pain associated with these tears and ruptures are usually most noticeable in the morning, immediately after getting out of bed. Throughout the day the pain subsides and becomes a dull aching which can be improved with rest.

Treating ruptures and tears of the plantar fascia can be done easily and painlessly. Conservative treatment is usually the most effective for this condition. In addition to Heel That Pain Heel Seats, stretching exercises are helpful for a ruptured plantar fascia, but exercise in addition to an orthotic shoe insert is a very effective way to not only reduce and eliminate pain, but also to heal the plantar fascia ruptures and tears!
